One per-tenant invoice_settings row is the single store for business identity. The same values feed the invoice header, the {{builder.*}} contract tokens, and the customer portal branding. The company phone is additionally mirrored onto the org record so the messaging token can never disagree with the invoice.
Also called: invoice logo · company details on invoice · branded invoice · my business info
- 1Settings → My Business writes company_name / address / phone / email / website / logo_url / brand_color / portal_subtext to invoice_settings.
- 2The invoice viewer resolves branding from the invoice's own org synchronously, before settings load.
- 3Bundled fallback branding is gated to a positively-confirmed default org; an unresolved org shows no logo at all.
Two ways the paperwork went out wearing the wrong identity. The company phone number was stored in one place and used for messaging from another, so a stray default number printed on invoices that went to customers. And because branding settings arrive a moment after the page draws, every business was briefly treated as the house account and flashed another company's logo before its own loaded — on a document a customer might have been looking at. The phone number now has one home, and an invoice waits for the right brand before it paints.
- A default phone number leaking onto a tenant's invoices.
- Another tenant's logo rendering for a frame on load.
- Business details maintained in several places and drifting apart.
