Send the invite by text, email, both or link

A four-way choice of how the invitation reaches the person, including Link Only for handing it over in person.

What it is

The Send Via chips choose the delivery channels passed to the invite API. Link Only sends nothing and just returns the URL, which is what you want when the person is standing in front of you or you want to paste it into an existing thread.

1 named problem
01The picker maps Both to [sms, email], Link Only to an empty channel list, otherwise the single chosen channel.
02The API sends the branded invitation over the requested channels using the tenant's own messaging.
03The returned URL is always shown with a Copy Link button regardless of channel.

How it works
  1. 1The picker maps Both to [sms, email], Link Only to an empty channel list, otherwise the single chosen channel.
  2. 2The API sends the branded invitation over the requested channels using the tenant's own messaging.
  3. 3The returned URL is always shown with a Copy Link button regardless of channel.
Why we built it

Invitations that can only be emailed fail for exactly the audience a builder most needs in the app. Returning the link in every case also makes the flow debuggable — if delivery fails you can still hand over the URL.

The problem
  • Delivery failure on one channel blocked onboarding entirely.
