Support access to a locked tab is announced

When platform staff open a PIN-protected Integrations tab, a banner says out loud that they are past the customer's lock and that the access is logged.

What it is

A visible notice rendered whenever the gate is opened by staff privilege rather than by the PIN, stating: this account has PIN-protected Integrations, you are past it because you are platform staff, the customer is not, and this access is logged.

Also called: platform support access · staff bypass · who else got in

How it works
  1. 1The lock status distinguishes a PIN unlock from a staff bypass.
  2. 2A staff bypass renders the pending-status banner above the tab contents.
Why we built it

The comment gives the reason directly: 'Say so out loud: staff are seeing a page the customer has locked, and that access is recorded.' A support bypass that looks identical to a normal unlock is the kind of quiet privilege that erodes trust in the lock itself.

The problem
  • A privileged bypass was indistinguishable from a legitimate unlock.

What you get
The customer's lock is honest about who can pass it and that it is recorded.
