Help & Support

Three fast paths to a human — open the bug reporter with the current screen attached, open the Academy, or use the published support email and phone.

What it is

The one settings tab available to every role. It offers a Report a problem card that opens the reporter with the current screen already attached, an Open the Academy card, and the platform's real support addresses, phone number and hours — all read from a canonical contacts library rather than typed inline.

The three support cards in a row (Report a problem / Open the Academy / contact), with support hours below. SupportTab.tsx. Sample data — no customer information appears here.
How it works
  1. 1Report a problem calls the bug reporter directly, which captures the screen context.
  2. 2Open the Academy dispatches the academy event.
  3. 3Contact details come from lib/platformContacts, never hardcoded in the tab.
Why we built it

The comment records the gap it filled: 'Every tenant surface previously assumed a user would find the floating bug widget on their own, and nothing in the product printed a single support address or phone number. A builder who couldn't sign in, or who needed to talk to billing, had nowhere to look.' It is deliberately not admin-gated — 'A crew lead who hits a broken screen at 7 AM needs this as much as the owner does', and nothing on the tab exposes tenant configuration.

The problem
  • The product printed no support contact anywhere.
  • Reporting a bug depended on discovering a floating widget.
  • Support was implicitly admin-only.

What you get
Every role can reach support from inside the app.
A report arrives with the screen already attached.
Support contacts come from one source and cannot go stale in one place.
