Time blocks are per-crew date ranges with a label and a type (vacation / holiday / maintenance / other). They render as their own rows on the timeline, and crews with a currently-active or upcoming block get a badge on their chip.
Also called: vacation · time off · crew unavailable · shutdown week · holiday
- 1Add or edit a block via the Time Block modal: crew, label, start/end date, type
- 2Crew leads and workers can only create blocks for their own crew (selectableCrewIds)
- 3isCrewScheduledInactive / getCrewUpcomingInactivity drive the chip badges
- 4Blocks render as rows in the chart body alongside project rows
A schedule that shows only work quietly claims every crew is available every day. Vacations, a concrete sub's shutdown week and stat holidays lived in someone's memory, so plans were built straight through them and only fell apart when nobody showed up. Time off is blocked on the board itself, in the same rows as the work.
- Scheduling work onto a crew that isn't available
- Time off living outside the schedule
