Fixing the date arithmetic left builders taking the schedule on faith — the maths was right, but nothing on screen proved it, and a builder burned once by a plan that ran through weekends does not trust the next one. Weekends and days off are shaded down the board, so a bar crossing a shaded band is visibly wrong. The schedule can be checked at a glance instead of audited stage by stage.
