A one-line filter that shows the whole filter state at a glance — which stages are on and, through the counts, how the book is distributed. Selecting nothing means everything.
Also called: filter estimates by stage · show me stage 3 and 4 · quote filters
- 1Tap a chip to add that stage to the filter; tap again to remove it.
- 2Chips are additive, so 3+4 reads as 'everything contract'.
- 3Each chip's tooltip carries the stage hint and how many estimates sit in it.
- 4With nothing selected the list is unfiltered.
Colour-coding the stages made the mix visible but not sliceable: a builder who wanted to see everything sitting on a contract, whether it was with the customer or waiting on their own signature, still had to read the whole list. Five numbered squares under the search box toggle on together, so any combination of stages is one or two clicks. They stay as squares rather than collapsing into a dropdown because five squares cost one line of vertical space and show the whole filter state at a glance, where a dropdown hides it behind a click. Turning them all off shows everything, since an empty list on first load just looks broken.
- Finding the deals in one phase meant scrolling the whole book
