What it is
A device toggle above the preview that re-renders the selected email at 1000, 768 or 390 pixels wide, plus paging between emails without leaving the preview.
Also called: how does the email look on a phone · responsive email check
See it
How it works
- 1Device options map to viewport widths applied to the isolated preview frame.
- 2Sun/moon controls switch the rendered appearance.
- 3Left/right controls step through the emails in the current category.
Why we built it
Most customers read email on a phone. A preview that only shows desktop width hides the failure mode that matters — a header logo or a button that breaks on a narrow screen.
The problem
- Branding was only ever checked at desktop width.
