Send a teammate the exact screen you are looking at

Open cards, estimates and projects get their own address, so the URL in the bar is the thing on your screen and pasting it into a text puts someone else there too.

What it is

The app's address carries the open record, not just the tab: a pipeline card, an estimate number, a project. Opening a record pushes a history entry and closing it goes back, so the browser and phone Back button close the modal the way anyone would expect. Switching views drops the tail automatically so a stale record can never reopen in the wrong place.

Also called: share a link · copy link to this card · send them where I am · shareable address · back button closes the popup

2 named problems
01The hash router owns the view; a view reads and writes its own trailing segment through one shared hook
02Opening a record pushes history; closing pops it, so Back closes the modal
03One history entry per thing opened, not per click
Address bar reading #/sales_pipeline/lead-… beside the open card, then the same link opening on a phone — deepLink.ts consumers in PipelineView / EstimatesView. Sample data — no customer information appears here.
How it works
  1. 1The hash router owns the view; a view reads and writes its own trailing segment through one shared hook
  2. 2Opening a record pushes history; closing pops it, so Back closes the modal
  3. 3One history entry per thing opened, not per click
  4. 4Changing views writes a bare view hash, dropping the record tail
Why we built it

Two people on the same job used to spend a phone call navigating each other to one card — go to the pipeline, filter to this month, scroll down, the one under the Hendricks job. Now anything you open has its own address: a card, an estimate, a project. Paste it into a text and whoever gets it lands on exactly what you are looking at, and the Back button closes what it opened, which is what everyone already expects it to do.

The problem
  • A record on screen has no address, so it cannot be shared
  • Back exits the application instead of closing the open dialog

What you get
Paste a link in a text and your teammate lands on the same card
Back closes the modal, as on every phone
Refreshing the page keeps you on the record you were reading

Twenty minutes, your numbers, no slide deck. We’ll build one of your real buildings in front of you and send you the estimate link at the end — yours to keep either way.
