Dashboard KPI cards

Five cards: pipeline value with active deal count, projects with active stages, stages complete with average schedule variance, tasks due with overdue count, and delays logged.

What it is

The top row, each with a coloured status dot that turns red when something needs attention — overdue tasks, delayed stages. The stages-complete card carries the schedule verdict in words: 'On schedule', '1.4d ahead avg' or '2.1d behind avg'.

How it works
  1. 1Pipeline value sums the deal values of every contact not in a non-pipeline bucket, excluding demo rows.
  2. 2Average variance divides only by the completed stages that actually carry a variance value.
  3. 3Tasks due counts incomplete tasks; overdue compares the due date against today.
  4. 4Delays logged excludes the 'ahead of schedule' reason code, which is a positive event recorded on the same table.
Why we built it

The NaN guard is commented in place: 'Guard the DENOMINATOR, not completedStages.length'. The demo exclusion is explicit: 'ACADEMY DEMO GUARD: demo leads sit on the board while a tour runs, but their seeded value must never inflate the money KPIs or the deal counts.'

The problem
  • Pipeline value required tallying the board by hand.
  • Schedule position had no single summary number.
  • Seeded training data inflated real money figures.
