Top delay reasons (dashboard)

A ranked breakdown of recorded delay causes, with the 'ahead of schedule' code excluded so a good outcome is never counted as a delay.

What it is

The dashboard's summary of why jobs slip. Reason codes are rendered with their human labels and sorted by frequency. Being ahead of schedule is recorded on the same table but explicitly filtered out of every delay count on the page.

How it works
  1. 1Delay reason rows are counted by code, skipping 'ahead_of_schedule'.
  2. 2Codes are mapped to display labels and sorted descending by count.
  3. 3The same exclusion is applied to the 'Delays Logged' KPI card.
Why we built it

The 'ahead of schedule' code shares the delay reason table because it is the same kind of schedule event, but counting it as a delay would have made an early finish look like a problem — the filter appears in both the chart and the KPI.

The problem
  • Delay causes had no summary view on the home screen.
  • Early finishes were being counted as delays.
