The same timeline on the contact and the pipeline card

One timeline component renders the deal's history identically on the contact record and inside the pipeline modal.

What it is

The contact's Activity panel embeds the exact same timeline body used by the pipeline card modal, covering stage moves, system events and audit notes that are deliberately routed out of the chat thread.

Also called: activity history · what happened when · job timeline · audit trail

The Activity right panel showing the shared timeline body — stage moves and system events with timestamps. LeadTimelineModal.tsx's LeadTimelineBody inside ContactsView. Sample data — no customer information appears here.
How it works
  1. 1LeadTimelineBody is shared by both surfaces rather than duplicated
  2. 2System activity and stage-move audit rows are filtered out of the message thread and rendered here instead
  3. 3Stage names and colours resolve from a shared catalog across both sales and project pipelines
Why we built it

The deal's history was built twice — once for the contact record, once inside the pipeline card — and the two drifted, so the same deal told two different stories depending on which screen a rep happened to open. Whichever they checked second was the one they stopped trusting. Both surfaces now render the same timeline, so there is one history and it cannot disagree with itself.

The problem
  • Two timelines drifting apart
  • Audit noise polluting the customer conversation
