A per-claim selection, written in plain language on the picker and translated into a sentence in the email ('What we need: the account credited'). Shortages default to 'replace'; damage is left unset so the builder chooses between a credit and a replacement.
Also called: credit or replace · what do you want from the supplier · remedy
- 1CLAIM_REMEDIES holds the five options with builder-facing labels
- 2The email maps each to a phrase after 'What we need:'
- 3The selection is editable on the claim card at any time
- 4'No remedy — recorded only' exists for problems worth logging but not pursuing
A claim that states a problem without stating the ask invites a reply asking what you want. Migration 218 keeps remedy and outcome as separate fields precisely so 'what we asked for and what we got' can both be recorded.
- A claim with no ask starts a round trip
- No record of what was asked versus what was agreed
