A check run on every activity load: the approved link's amount against the newest customer-visible sent version's quoted price. A gap of five cents or more is reported with both figures and the version number.
Also called: price changed after approval · approved at a different amount · quote drifted
- 1Find the approved link and the live send version.
- 2Compare their amounts.
- 3Surface the divergence with the approved figure, the live figure and the live version number.
An approval is only worth something if the estimate still says what the customer approved, and estimates keep being edited after one. The log compares the amount the customer actually approved against what the live estimate now says and flags the gap, so a job that has quietly drifted past its approved price is caught before it reaches a contract rather than after somebody has signed it.
- Post-approval edits leaving two live figures with no flag
