A canvas signature pad that tracks pointer and touch input, sizes itself from its container with devicePixelRatio so lines stay crisp, and exposes clear, hasInk and toDataURL. The modal requires typed name, drawn ink and an acknowledgement before it will sign.

- 1The pad measures its own rendered box and re-fires on breakpoint or orientation changes via ResizeObserver, so drawing coordinates stay aligned at any size.
- 2toDataURL serialises the strokes to a base64 PNG stored as signature_image.
- 3signer_email is lowercased and signer_phone reduced to digits so the record can be matched from Contacts later.
- 4Phone matching compares the last seven digits to survive +1 and formatting drift.
A crew agreement is worth only what it can prove when a job goes wrong, and a checkbox proves nothing. The signer types their name, which is what makes the signature binding under electronic signature law, and draws it as well so the printed contract looks like the hand-signed document people expect to see. The project details and the full agreement text are rendered into the same document, so the signed record stands on its own without anything else having to be produced alongside it.
